About Dmitriy

My name is Dmitriy Voznyak, I am in the digital buildings concentration. My definition of an "intelligent building" is one that uses sensors and controls to combine systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing and outputs them into quantitative and qualitative data onto a computer. During my previous job experience I learned about controls for an escalator installation. The sensors on the escalator would issue a multitude of errors using software and a controller, this controller would send these notifications to a destination computer on the "OCULUS" network miles away thus notifying the shift manager. The monitoring system would also create a database for the previous 30 errors logged. For this class I expect to learn more about how to incorporate technology into the construction and maintenance of structures.
