We think that the first field for intelligent buildings that will be changing is the field of construction. This is when considering a robot as a physical being. This differs when including the idea of artificial intelligence (AI) due to the fact that we are already designing buildings using programs to run simulations and run models.
The advantages of using a robot in the field on construction eliminates the many problems with current human labor. Dangerous professions like welding and crane operators will be eliminated with in the inclusion on robots in the construction field. Another advantage is the fact that robots perform best when dealing with repetitive tasks. However with advancements in AI will only increase the desire for robots.
You brought up a great example on how robots can be helpful In future. It is always important to consider how much cost an owner is saving when replacing labors with robots. However, it is also important to understand that robots are less accurate when doing a job and can cost a lot to improve it.
