I am a novice for Revit. After I watched the teaching videos I could do the simple drawing with Revit. Just need some more practice; I think I will be able to do some more complex buildings draft drawing. In the future, I think the software will become easier and easier. People will use the software without any using experience.
The possible problem in future with Revit, it might
become an unprofessional drawing software. If the software is easy to use, that
means the software has less novelty. There are already many tools be designed
by software engineers. The customers just need one click to select such as
doors or windows. But the problem is there are so many different styles can not
include in the software. It is bad to create the creative building. I can not
image if the buildings are all same style. The city will become the “concrete jungle”.
The Revit or BIM are not enough to design the high
technological building in the future. So far we are still focus on the
building`s structure. I think in future we will more focus on the functions of
building or intelligent. Along with the structure materials improved, the
structure of design is going to a big issue of engineers. Stronger, lighter and
more environmental materials will be used in structures. During that time, the
design software is not only for drawing the structure of the building, also
need to consider the others such as intelligent. As an engineer we have to
prepare to for the future to design intelligent building with unintelligent
design software.
A new software will combine Revit and 3D-Printing.
3D-Printing technique is the most amazing technique for me in the future. Thing
about if the future building could be printed that will be a big improve for
civil engineer history. Revit could program the code then the 3D-Printer could
print the building with all the materials. Faster, safer, cheaper and more
intelligent if this idea comes true in future.
No matter what will be changed in future we should
to prepare it. Revit is a very useful drafting software for civil engineers. I
am looking forward to learn and use it
in my future career.

The current problems of Revit are in some areas currently slow on the adaptation of BIM. It is a big issue to develop Revit. I agree the views of the article.
To Lenny Knittel:
The cloud base is hard to say is bad or good for a software. For a very professional design software I prefer to make it more individually. It is because when you design a building it has responsibility for customers.
