I am Hope Lewis, I am an AE with a concentration in structural. I don't have much background in intelligent buildings beyond reading the occasional article and thinking "that's interesting", and using Revit to model studio projects, but it is definitely a something I would learn more about if given the chance.
I'm taking this class as I am interested in the topic and expect to learn more about intelligent buildings this quarter and how what I learn can be applied to the other classes I am taking and the work I do on coop and upon graduation. Through the assignments and blog posts I will do for this class I expect to explore this topic further and see how it can fit my interests.
My initial definition of an intelligent building is a building that uses recent advances in technology in its construction or its use once the building is completed.
